About Us Our Organizational Behavior research group, part of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences at Utrecht University, conducts large-scale studies using surveys for organizations seeking insights into the effectiveness of their diversity and inclusion policies. Currently, the collected data is manually processed into reports for participating organizations. We aim to make this process more efficient by using modern tools such as R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel VBA.
Job Description Your assignment is to investigate how we can automate our reporting process. You will analyze our current workflow, explore which tools best meet our needs, and implement a prototype for automated reporting.
What will you do?
Process Analysis:
Map the current process for processing and reporting survey data.
Identify bottlenecks and time-consuming tasks.
Tool Research:
Explore the possibilities of tools such as R, Python, Tableau, Power BI, or Excel VBA.
Evaluate which tools are most suitable for our data and reporting needs.
Prototyping:
Develop a working prototype that automatically processes data and generates reports.
Create visualizations and tables tailored to the needs of participating organizations.
Advice and Implementation Plan:
Write a report with recommendations for further implementation within our research group.

A 3-month position (0.2 FTE).

Who are we looking for? An independent, analytical student who is enthusiastic about data analysis and process optimization.
Education: An HBO/WO student in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a similar field.
Skills:
Experience with tools such as SPSS, Excel, R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
Affinity for data visualization and reporting processes.
A proactive attitude and problem-solving skills.
