Are you a tech-savvy person who has experience with Wordpress websites? Do you have a good visual eye and do you enjoy making a web page as attractive as possible in terms of layout?

Then CropXR is looking for you!

CropXR is a unique public-private consortium coordinated by Utrecht University. In the next ten years, a team of scientists with diverse backgrounds will work on making crops more resilient and climate-adaptive by developing the methodology of smart data breeding.

On our Wordpress website https://cropxr.org/ you can learn more about our work. The website currently does not provide sufficient information about our various teams and activities. With your help, we want to improve this!

Your tasks will include posting new web content (texts and visual information). You will receive a proposal for the layout of the page. However, it would be great if you could think along on how to make a page as strong and visually appealing as possible and experiment with this for an optimal result. Thanks to your excellent Wordpress skills, you will be able to create the new pages quickly. You will also search new images to enhance the website on a visual level.

You will work in our office (Padualaan 8) as well as at home. Having your own laptop is useful for this.

Finally, we will revamp our website more extensively somewhere in 2025. We expect that we will need assistance for the process of migrating content to a new website. It would be wonderful if you could help us out then again!

Profile candidate

• HBO/WO student. Interest in the topics CropXR works on is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with placing content on a website, particularly with Wordpress.
• Communicative personality with good knowledge of English. Knowledge of the Dutch language is helpful, but not a requirement.
• You have a good visual eye and preferably experience with image search and design.
• You work quickly and thoroughly.
• Good ability to work independently and you are flexible.
• Available starting half/end of December. You will be available for a minimum of 1-5 days in December. The focus of work is expected in the first two weeks of January. It is a plus if you are available several days a week then. The deadline for this update is mid-January, but work may extend through the end of January.
