Information Security at SURF

SURF is a cooperative association of Dutch educational and research institutions in which the members join forces. Within SURF, universities, universities of applied sciences, institutes of applied sciences, umc's and research institutes work together to purchase or develop the best possible digital services and to promote knowledge sharing through constant innovation. The members own SURF.

About the information security team

The team focuses on the organization of information security on the IT infrastructures on which services are provided in the areas of large and accelerating computing, data management, cloud, authentication and authorization services. The team's goal is to ensure that users of the national IT infrastructure continue to access and use SURF's services in a secure manner.

SURF helps institutions in the education and research sector with information security. We develop common policies and tools. We support educational institutions in finding a balance between security, privacy assurance, accessibility Information security | SURF.nl.
