Schrijfcoach Skills Lab

The Skills Lab offers students free individual coaching on academic writing assignments and study skills. We are open to all UU students and are located in the UB at the Uithof. We are currently looking for new writing coaches!

Important dates

You can apply until Sunday January 31 august 2025 23:59. Application interviews will be held on Monday Septmeber 8, 2025 between 12:00 and 17:00.

Training will take place on four Wednesdays from 17:15 - 20:00:

• Wednesday September 17, 2025

• Wednesday September 24, 2025

• Wednesday Oktober 1, 2025

• Wednesday Oktober 15, 2025

What do we expect from a writing coach?

• You are a student at Utrecht University

• You are available for at least one year for an average of 1 day (8 hours) per week

• You would like to develop as a writing coach

• You have affinity with and preferably some experience in coaching people

• You have good communication skills

• You are accurate in agenda management and reporting

• You have an affinity with academic writing

• You have a good command of Dutch and English.

In addition, we ask you

• Actively contribute to the awareness of the Skills Lab through PR activities

• Participate in other tasks such as creating/maintaining handouts, supporting at events, performing analyses and small surveys, etc.

What we offer

• An appointment as an on-call employee (student employee) through TopSelect

• A four-day training to prepare you for the job

• Intensive guidance in the initial phase

• Regular intervision meetings with the team
