Werkstudent – Technische ondersteuning Academy

The Princess Máxima Center for Pediatric Oncology has the mission to cure every child with cancer with an optimal quality of life. We opened our doors on May 18, 2018 and from that moment on, all children with cancer in the Netherlands are treated in our center. By bundling care, research and education in one centre, we improve the chances of survival and recovery and improve the quality of life.

The Máxima must and wants to share knowledge with colleagues at home and abroad, which is why we organize many professional meetings. Partly due to COVID-19, these meetings are increasingly online or blended (participants live and online). We are looking for a few working students for the technical support of these meetings, for a longer period of time (preferably at least 1 year, up to a few years).

Who are we looking for? To be able to provide technical support properly, it is important that you recognize yourself in the profile below:

  • Affinity with technology, both hardware and software.
  • Being able to build a setting with three laptops:
    • laptop A: from which the meeting is started and from which the entire management of the meeting is conducted.
    • laptop B: making the presentation(s) visible on a TV screen for the speaker(s).
    • laptop C: making the participants of the meeting visible to the speakers on a TV screen.
  • Familiarity with the use of, among others, Zoom, but ideally also with Teams and Skype, in particular:
    • sharing screens;
    • spotlighting speakers;
    • switching between used cameras;
    • placing in breakout rooms;
    • creating a poll etc.
  • You are at least 18 years old.
  • You are also available evenings and weekends.

What do we offer? - An hourly wage of €15.37. - An inspiring environment, in which you also learn a lot yourself. - It is estimated that the position will involve an average of 4 hours per week. However, there are large fluctuations in this, because the work only has to be done when an online event takes place.
